ABOUT THE PROJECT

2_THE DESIGN

Look through the different sections of the design process.

In this project, I address the prevalent issues of Asian Hate at the height of Covid. I think about how design can be used to tell as story. The idea is that as food becomes more globalized, many of us who cook now have traditionally asian condiments in our own condiments. Food is something that can unite and make each other feel less alien.

3_PROOF OF CONCEPT

The history of America is both built on the backs of the work of immigrants and alienating them. This is a tale as old as time and continues to reiterate and escalate in the stressful times of COVID. Many friends and family have been at the hands of violence due to fear and hatred. The hope is that by understanding where our similarities are rather than our difference we can lessen that gaps and understand we are all just humans.

Having colors that could be felt and experienced through the second generational experience felt right. Having them be bright and hopeful help to emphasis the hope that the stamps put forward. The hand drawn stamps hope to showcase my illustration skills and put forward a friendly face forward.
